What parent doesn’t enjoy watching their children playing in the playground? It is a nice break from the time spent indoors watching TV and playing with electronic devices. However, being more active also bring new dangers that need to be considered. It is easy for your children to get hurt when they are playing on equipment that is not properly installed or well maintained. In the spring, before your children go to use the playground for the first time, you should check that everything is still working properly and that there is nothing that could hurt them.

It is important to remember that while children don’t weigh that much, they have a tendency to play with the equipment in the playground in such a way that extra weight and stress might be put on it.

If you notice any rust on parts of the playground equipment, you should take the time to ensure that it has not affected the structural integrity of the equipment and clean it up so it doesn’t spread.
